Gerd has lived on three continents during her life time.  She was born in French Congo, Africa.  She grew up on Lidingö, Sweden (an island off of Stockholm, Sweden). And finally Gerd has spent forty years of her life here in Jamestown and Lakewood, New York within Chautauqua County.

Gerd says “I have met people from all walks of life and enjoy all the different cultures.”

When Gerd is not working she enjoys: Swedish Folk Dancing, sewing, weaving, crafts of all kinds, traveling and of course spending time with her family.

Every year Gerd volunteers to teach children to sing in the traditional Swedish Lucia celebration here in Jamestown, New York.
